The Protagonists of Greek Tourism for 2024

The most important initiatives for Greek tourism for the 11th consecutive year were celebrated last night at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Athens in a glittering ceremony attended by over 500 people. The awards – an institution of the sector – entered their second decade with a strong focus on Greek-ness and Sustainability and rewarded the pioneers and innovators of Greek tourism and the businesses of the sector.
Haris Theocharis, Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, in his greeting, referred to the increasingly important contribution of tourism to the country’s GDP and congratulated the awardees for their work. Immediately afterwards he presented the Honorary Awards of the year.
The Tourism Awards are organized by BOUSSIAS Events and are under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) and the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE).
As CEO of RHODES MARINAS Mr. Thomas Triantaphyllou mentioned in his speech, we have chosen to participate in human-centered categories that promote the role and impact our company brings to the local community, cultural and economic added value and upgrading of the tourist product of Rhodes and Greece in total.
Our accomplishments for 2024 are presented below:
Gold award for the action Learn about the Marina and the Environment in the category “Creation of Visitable Spaces in Airports, Ports, Marinas, Passenger Stations” and
Silver award for the action Accommodation of travelers during the disastrous fire in South Rhodes on July 2024 in the category ” Promotion Actions in the Local Community & Strengthening of Employment and Economy.
