Basic Life Support (BLS) certification program by Hellenic Rescue team towards Rhodes Marinas staff
Saturday 4th of March. It was with great pleasure that we hosted Certified trainers of Hellenic Rescue Team into our premises and enjoyed the 5 hours certification course for Basic Life Skills (BLS).
The BLS, part of the First Aid Courses, is certified by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC, www.erc.edu) with a certificate that is internationally recognised for a period of three years.
In total 14 participants / staff of Rhodes Marinas received training in the main fields of Basic Life Support:
1. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
2. Automated External Defibrillator
3. Relief of choking
4. Recovery position
The classes were divided into theoretical and practical sections, during which all the trainees performed the exercises individually for all the fields, with training manikins and training defibrillators provided by the Hellenic Rescue Team.
The First Aid courses are taught by certified rescuers of the Hellenic Rescue Team, with an experience of several years both as instructors and as rescuers.
